Recommended Prenatal Services in Singapore

You might wonder what services you might need to care for your pregnancy so that birth and post partum healing can go on smoothly. There may also be some cute extras that are not necessary but so irresistible.

Here are some of my recommendations not normally found on paid advertisement.

General Pregnancy care info

Started by Obstetrician Dr Tan Thiam Chye, it contains medical and holistic information for your pregnancy - with guest writers that talk about stretch marks all the way to piles prevention. Check it out here.

Physiotherapy

Modern life can contribute to longer, more difficult labour. In particular, tight muscles around the hips. This is where regular stretching and physiotherapy to check on your alignment will help - this is important for your baby's positioning. I also recommend VBAC moms get this service.

I recommend Laura O'byrne. I have spoken to her recently and it seems like she knows her stuff ! Her number is 98556564.

Prenatal Massage Service

All the aches and the pains in pregnancy are REAL and therefore I count this service as a necessity. I have a really good contact who is very affordable and really good at her work. She also provides post partum massage with binding. Honestly. She is great AND she goes to your house. I've had her myself and her fingers are gold.

Breastfeeding Info

Eliza from Tender Loving Milk

IMO, classes are essential. So many mothers struggle without support - so this is one prenatal service I recommend.

Acupuncture

I really like Mark Chern. I have sent many of my clients to him to induce labour or just for general energy moving work for pregnancy. He can apply TCM to flip your breech baby too. He is at Soma Clinic in Orchard.
